Title: Photos Posted on Flickr-Tank Cars Stored on Chicago Terminal Tracks in Chicago

I took these photos today that show the tank cars stored by Chicago Terminal on both sides of the North Branch of the Chicago River.

Not sure if Chicago Terminal is storing them for revenue or to assert its rights to the land in future negotiations with developer Sterling Bay which has bought up the adjacent properties.  Sterling Bay will no doubt want its properties to connect to each other without railroad tracks in the middle.

The tanks are all over the Terminal.  Here are some great shots:

Many of the cars are marked "Do not load: return for repairs"   The blue one on the end simply says "Do not load"  I'm guessing this is part of some game by the CTR.  We'll probably all have some good STB reports to enjoy again. 

I really, REALLY wish I could have seen this movement personally!
